美国当地时间2月6日，Common Application(以下简称Common APP)，即通用申请系统，公布了其2017-2018年度最新申请文书题目，较2016-2017有较大变动。

　　Common Application是什么?

　　Common Application，简称Common App，是一个本科(包含本科转学)录取申请系统。学生可以通过该系统申请来自包括美国48个州，华盛顿特区，加拿大、欧洲、中国等国家和地区的693所高等院校。

　　Common App官方表示，此次调整依据的是其对Common App的成员高校、咨询团队、学生、升学顾问和在校老师等群体的调查结果，其中学生意见占比最大(59%)。

　　值得注意的是，文章的字数上限依然是650字保持不变。

　　2016-2017题目：The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

　　2016-2017年的题目把选题范围框定在了Failure(失败)上，今年此题将范围扩大到了Obstacle(困难)、Challenge(挑战)和Setback(挫折)，给了申请者更多的发挥空间。

　　3.Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome? [Revised]

　　中文：回顾一次你质疑或挑战某种观念的经历。是什么触发了你的思考呢?结果如何?(微调)

　　2016-2017题目：Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?

　　同样是“挑战他人”，去年的题目重点在“动机”，今年则侧重“思考和结果”。

　　4.Describe a problem you've solved or a problem you'd like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma - anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution. [No change]
